Each year McCone Electric along with many other Montana rural electric cooperatives sponsor member participants (married or single) to attend a “Today’s Member Program” that is held in conjunction with the Montana Electric Cooperatives’ Association (MECA) annual meeting. This event is usually held in October. It is an opportunity for cooperative members to learn about electric cooperatives and issues affecting you. This program is a workshop forum including presentations from rural electric leaders, legislators, industry professionals, and other knowledgeable individuals. It requires a 3-day commitment from you in order to attend. Travel, accommodations and meals are paid for by McCone Electric.
This program is an important part of what we are as rural electric cooperatives. A number of past participants have gone on to become board members at their cooperative.
